Christian McCaffrey is a touchdown machine.

The San Francisco 49ers running back ended the first half of Thursday night’s matchup against the New York Giants with 87 total yards and one touchdown.

With that touchdown, McCaffrey has now scored a TD in 12 straight games, including the playoffs. That ties Jerry Rice’s record set in 1987. The NFL record is 15 straight games, which is held by former fullback John Riggins and running back O.J. Simpson.

With his 61 rushing yards in the first half, Christian McCaffrey, according to the Associated Press, has surpassed Garrison Hearst for the most yards rushing through the first three games of a season in franchise history. Hearst has held that title since 1998 when he recorded 325 rushing yards in the first three weeks.
