The Sacramento Kings have once again fallen victim to the NBA Two Minute Report.

According to a report published by the league on Wednesday, the officials missed two calls during the final 90 seconds of Sacramento’s 112-105 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Not even one week removed from the Kings’ loss in Boston–a game that was also proven to be impacted by incorrect officiating–Sacramento can look to another Two Minute Report on the heels of another costly loss.

More on the NBA Two Minute Report from Kings vs. Thunder

According to the NBA Two Minute Report, officials missed two calls during the closing minutes of Sacramento’s loss to Oklahoma City:

Homgren’s Out-of-Bounds Call

Q4 | 1:25 | Thunder big man Chet Holmgren appeared to knock the ball out of bounds while attempting to get to a loose rebound off of a missed free-throw, but officials ruled the possession to Oklahoma City.

The Thunder held a 106-105 lead with 1:25 to go and scored on the ensuing possession as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s jumper allowed OKC to take a 108-105 lead with 1:16 remaining.

About that SGA jumper…

Q4 | 1:18 | On the inbound pass that took place following the missed out-of-bounds call, Gilgeous-Alexander got caught up with the ball as Davion Mitchell applied pressure.

With the shot clock winding down, Gilgeous-Alexander “moves his pivot foot before entering his shooting motion” while attempting to get around Mitchell’s contest, knocking down the 13-footer in the process.

These two plays were called incorrectly and resulted in the Kings falling into a 108-105 hole with just over one minute remaining.

On a night that saw Sacramento blow another 20-point lead, no members of this Kings team will hang their heads and point to a Two-Minute Report to feel better—but the report does add a little more of a sting to the Beam Team’s latest losing effort.

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

Sacramento will return home for the final three games of the regular season, and they will be welcomed back with a back-to-back that could very well make or break its chase of the sixth-seed race in the West standings.

The Kings will face the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night in front of a national audience on TNT before meeting the Phoenix Suns 24 hours later on Friday.

If Sacramento wants to avoid the Play-In, they will likely need both wins against two teams that are also looking to secure an automatic playoff berth and avoid any single-elimination scenarios.

New Orleans has dominated the Kings this season, holding a 4-0 record while outscoring Sacramento by an average of 21.0 points during four matchups.
