Rocklin High School graduate, Cale Simmons, is going to Pyeongchang, South Korea for the Winter Olympics but he will not be competing.
According to the USAFA, Simmons will be supporting U.S. Olympic athletes as an Athlete Service Coordinator for the 2018 Olympic Games.
Per the Sacramento Bee, he is training for the 2020 Summer Game which are taking place in Tokyo but for now he will be assisting 2018 olympic athletes:
“Competing on the world stage at the Olympics is one of the most stressful things I have ever done in my life […] The ability to relax, recharge and get away from stressors in an environment like this can make all the difference in being ready for these competitions. I look forward to being that positive influence on the minds of the greatest team in the world – Team USA.”
