David Meyer brings home second Big Sky Defensive Player Of The Week honor

After a big game defensively, that saw No. 4 UC Davis football redshirt junior linebacker David Meyer wreak havoc on the field against Northern Colorado the Aggie linebacker has been named, for the second time this season, the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week.
In the 59-7 win over the Bears, Meyer finished with 12 total tackles, making 11 solo stops. He also snagged his second interception of the season, which led directly to an Aggie score and he made 2.0 tackles for loss.
Meyer earned Big Sky Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors following the Aggies win over Texas A&M-Commerce and along with junior linebacker Porter Connors (Defensive Player of the Week; week one) and senior running back Lan Larison (Offensive Player of the Week; week eight) the Aggies now have earned Big Sky honors on four different weeks this season.

Behind an explosive 622 total offensive yards, and a defensive statement that held Northern Colorado scoreless until the fourth quarter, UC Davis football made a statement off the bye week with a dominating win in front of 10,638 fans.
