Ken Norton Jr. has been hired by the San Francisco 49ers.
Norton Jr. previously worked with the Raiders as defensive coordinator.
Ian Rapoport delivered the news on Twitter Monday afternoon.
The #49ers have hired former #Raiders DC Ken Norton as their assistant head coach/defense, coaching inside linebackers.

The 49ers confirmed the news on their own Twitter page, and announced the addition of Johnny Holland.
The #49ers have named Ken Norton Jr. assistant head coach – defense/inside linebackers.
