The National Football League decided that the Oakland Raiders were moving to Las Vegas on March 27, 2017, and guaranteed the team will a new stadium.

It looks like the Raiders are a step closer to moving and obtaining new headquarters and a practice facility when Las Vegas suburb officials approved a resolution that allowed the city and the team to move forward with the process, according to the Sacramento Bee.

On Tuesday, January 2 the deal for 55 acres at the price of over $6 million was finally negotiated and accepted, which is not even close to the lands original appraised value.

The Raiders say that the new venue will bring around 250 full-time jobs for the community, not counting the players on the team.

Now that a resolution for the land has been approved, the team has to wait another month to get final approval from the Henderson City Council.

The team plans on starting the 2020 season in their new stadium in Las Vegas, which will be slightly funded by a tax increase as well.
