Former St. John’s Player Charged With First Degree Murder And Serial Killings

Ex- St. John’s University Basketball Player Howell Emanuel Donaldson III was arrested in Tampa, Florida on four counts of first-degree murder for his involvement in serial killings within October and November, according to Bleacher Report. He played for the St. John’s Red Storm during the the 2011-2012 season.

The 24-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, November 28, after he went to a McDonald’s and asked the manager to hold a loaded semiautomatic weapon for him while he want to take out a loan from Amscot.

Donaldson worked at this McDonald’s and the manager wound up notifying a local police officer about Donaldson. This resulted in his arrest.

He is suspected of murdering four people in the Tampa’s Seminole Heights neighborhood: 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell, 32-year-old Monica Hoffa, 20-year-old Anthony Naiboa and 60-year-old Ronald Felton.

Donaldson was a walk-on for the St. John’s and graduated from the University this year.
