Winston Williams ranked Second Best Returning TE In The Nation

UC Davis football senior tight end Winston Williams has been named the second-best returning tight end in the nation by HERO Sports.

Returning UC Davis football senior tight end Winston Williams has been named the second-best returning tight end in the nation by HERO Sports as part of their 2025 Football Championship Series season preview.

Williams was a 2024 First Team All-Big Sky Conference honoree and he ended the season leading all Big Sky tight ends in touchdown receptions and he finished second in the nation for most receiving touchdowns by a tight end. When the 2024 season came to an end, Williams had racked up career numbers finishing with 265 receiving yards on 34 receptions, snagging six touchdowns while averaging 19.0 yards per game.

UC Davis football senior Ian Simpson joined Williams on the list, coming in at No. 24 giving the Aggies a pair among the top 25 returning tight ends in the nation.
