The 2025-26 UC Davis men’s basketball Big West Conference schedule was announced Friday by the conference office. The slate features 20 games, highlighted by the second year of Big West Bold Week and several key home and road stretches.

UC Davis opens its final season of conference play in the Big West on Dec. 4 at Hawai’i as part of Big West Bold Week.

Conference action resumes Jan. 1 when the Aggies host CSUN, followed by another home game against Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 3. The first road trip of the new year takes UC Davis to UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 8 and Cal Poly on Jan. 10.

The Aggies return to University Credit Union Center for a four-game homestand, facing Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 15, UC Irvine on Jan. 17, UC San Diego on Jan. 22, and UC Riverside on Jan. 24. UC Davis then travels for back-to-back games at CSUN on Jan. 29 and Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 31.

February begins with two home contests against UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 5 and Cal Poly on Feb. 7. The Aggies visit UC San Diego on Feb. 12 before returning home to host Long Beach State on Feb. 14.

A four-game road stretch follows, with stops at Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 19, UC Riverside on Feb. 21, Long Beach State on March 5, and UC Irvine on March 7. The only home game in that span is Feb. 26 against Hawai’i.

The 2025-26 regular season concludes with the Big West Basketball Championships presented by Credit Union 1 from March 11-14 at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, Nev. The top eight men’s and women’s teams will compete, with the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds receiving a bye to the quarterfinals and the top two seeds earning a bye to the semifinals.

More on UC Davis Athletics

Friday was one of the hottest days of the summer, but the heat did not slow down No. 8 UC Davis football as the Aggies wrapped up 2025 fall camp with a nearly three-hour scrimmage at UC Davis Health Stadium to conclude 15 practices over the past two and a half weeks.

UC Davis football spent the previous weeks welcoming new faces while maintaining a relatively healthy camp. Each day was a competitive one, as no job was settled at the start, and some jobs are still open for an Aggie to take.

“We had a really good camp and feel excited about where we stand,” said head coach Tim Plough. “It really felt like we were able to get a lot of evaluation done because it was such a competitive camp. And I feel like we did a good job coming out of camp relatively healthy, which is always a good thing.”

The Aggies now set their eyes on preparation for the 2025 season opener against No. 11 Mercer with the next week of practice acting as a dry run for game weeks during the season.

“We always planned on giving ourselves two weeks to get healthy and also giving ourselves two weeks to prep for Mercer,” added Plough. “The extra time is good, and we can work on our game prep this week before doing it for real the following week.”
