The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed DL Evan Anderson and OL Kilian Zierer to the team’s practice squad. In order to make room on the practice squad, the team released DL William Bradley-King.
Anderson (6-3, 326) originally entered the NFL after signing with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2024. In 2024, Anderson appeared in 12 games (one start) and registered 24 tackles, 1.0 sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He was waived by the team on August 27, 2025.
A 23-year-old native of Orlando, FL, Anderson attended Florida Atlantic University (2020-23) where he appeared in 39 games and registered 145 tackles, 20.0 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, two passes defensed and three fumble recoveries and earned Third-Team All-AAC honors his senior season (2023).
Zierer (6-7, 312) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. Throughout his two-year NFL career, he has spent time on the Texans practice squad (2023-24) and spent the 2025 training camp with the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns.
A 25-year-old native of Munich, Germany, Zierer attended Auburn University (2020-23) where he appeared in 21 games (16 starts).
