Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine will enter the 2026-27 NBA season with plenty to prove, and his NBA 2K27 rating reflects where he currently stands among the league’s top players.
LaVine has been given an 82 overall rating in NBA 2K27, ranking him No. 86 among the game’s top 100 players. He sits alongside several notable players in the ratings reveal, including Jrue Holiday, Isaiah Hartenstein, Dillon Brooks and Payton Pritchard.
The rating comes after an injury-shortened 2025-26 season for LaVine, who appeared in just 39 games.
Despite his limited availability, the veteran guard remained highly efficient when healthy, averaging 19.2 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range.

LaVine will have an important season ahead with the Kings as he enters the final year of his contract. He is owed $49 million in 2026-27, putting additional attention on what Sacramento ultimately decides to do with the 31-year-old guard beyond the upcoming season.
The Kings acquired LaVine during the 2024-25 season, hoping his scoring ability and perimeter shooting could help elevate the team’s offense as they moved on from De’Aaron Fox. When healthy, he remains one of Sacramento’s most dangerous scoring threats, particularly from beyond the arc.
An 82 overall rating places LaVine firmly among the league’s better players, but it also represents a notable step below the elite tier of NBA 2K27 players. With his contract situation and health both major storylines entering the season, LaVine has an opportunity to prove that he deserves to be rated even higher.
NBA 2K27 is scheduled to release on September 4, giving Kings fans plenty of time to debate whether LaVine’s 82 overall rating is fair.
