The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver suffered a shoulder injury in Week 2’s win over the Los Angeles Rams early in the game. Brandon Aiyuk was a limited participant in practice Tuesday, creating a sense of optimism, before ultimately deciding to sit him.
In a subsequent move, the 49ers promoted wide receiver Chris Conley from the practice squad.
Additionally, cornerback Ambry Thomas has been ruled out for Week 3 with a knee injury. To fill his spot, the 49ers have elevated CBs Tre Swilling and Shemar Jean-Charles from the team’s practice squad. Also inactive for the 49ers this evening is Nick Zakelj, Kalia Davis and Jalen Graham.
Brandon Allen is the 49ers’ emergency third quarterback.
