De’Aaron Fox knows the Sacramento Kings season didn’t end how many expected.
After eliminating the Golden State Warriors in the first of two play-in games, the Kings were bounced from postseason participation by the New Orleans Pelicans.
One year removed from his first playoff action, Fox has a message to Kings fans: “yall deserve to be in the playoffs. We’ll get back. 💜”

For the 2023-24 season, De’Aaron Fox notched career highs in minutes (35.9), field goals per game (9.7), field goal attempts (20.9), three-point field goals (2.9), three-point attempts (7.8), rebounds (4.6) and points (26.6). In that final game against the Pelicans, he sat only six minutes, scoring 35 points and dishing five assists trying to will the Kings to a victory.
“I don’t think we were bad this year but obviously the West got tougher and I don’t think we stepped up to that plate. Obviously, we can look at countless games where we had the lead or games we should have won and you look back at that and it definitely bit us in the back at the end of the season,” Fox said at his end-of-season press conference.
