The San Francisco Giants will look to wipe away a four-game losing streak on Friday when they play their first game of the season at Oracle Park.
After starting the season by taking two of four games from the San Diego Padres, the Giants suffered a three-game sweep at the hands of the rival Los Angeles Dodgers in Southern California, dropping their record to 2-5 through seven games.
San Francisco will hope to snap a four-game skid on Friday as it opens a three-game set with the Padres. The Padres are fresh off a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals, though they also hold a sub-500 record (4-5).
Fans in attendance will get their first look in person at recent signings like outfielder Jung Hoo Lee, third baseman Matt Chapman, and slugger Jorge Soler, as well as witness a start from Cy Young Award runner-up Logan Webb on Sunday.
