The Jimmy Garoppolo experience has come to an end in Las Vegas.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news on Friday morning that the NFL has suspended Garoppolo for two games due to violating the league’s Performance Enhancing Drug Policy.
According to Schefter’s report, the policy violation is said to be related to the veteran quarterback using a prescribed medication without having a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption from the NFL.
Garoppolo will not appeal the suspension and will miss the first two games of the 2024 season, but the Las Vegas Raiders will not be the 32-year-old’s employer once the season begins.
Schefter is also reporting that Las Vegas is expected to release Garoppolo in mid-March before his $11.25 million roster bonus vests.
