The Los Angeles Chargers had 6 sacks and 3 interceptions Sunday in their season-opening win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
As the black and silver attempted a comeback, the last two plays of the game saw Derek Carr fumble the ball twice, securing the win for the Chargers, 24-19.
Coach Josh McDaniels spoke to the media Monday following Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. When asked about the turnovers, specifically throws by Carr, he said the team ended up in situations that could have been prevented.
“We’re going to learn a lot from this…we ended up in situations that could have been prevented had we had more success earlier or on defense, done a better job of stopping them in certain situations,” McDaniels said. “We’ll try to fix all of it certainly, but there’s nothing more important than us taking care of the ball. There’s no question about that.”
