Kings select Emanuel Sharp with 45th pick in 2026 Draft
With the 45th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings added two-way guard Emanuel Sharp.

After adding two players in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings added more talent on day two.
Using the 45th overall pick, general manager Scott Perry selected Emanuel Sharp from Houston. In three collegiate seasons, the 6’3 guard made 308 three-point attempts on 37.6 percent shooting.
In 37 games played with the Cougars last season, Sharp averaged 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 41.3% from the field, 37.2% from three. Converting 89.1% of his free-throw attempts last season reinforces the caliber of shooter that the Kings may have added to their roster.

Considering the Kings’ desperate need for more spacing to ease the job of others, they’ve managed to add their pick between Sharp and Alex Karaban (who they took 29th overall in the first round).
Having played alongside Kingston Flemings at Houston, it’s easy to imagine him being alongside lottery pick Darius Acuff Jr. as well.
The 6’3 guard also made an impact on the defensive end, earning Big 12 All-Defense honors in 2025-26.
While not projected to be much of an on-ball creator at the next level, there’s a reason he was a second-round talent. But GM Scott Perry has found gems in the second round before, in the form of Maxime Raynaud and Mitchell Robinson.
Even finding a player who can make an impact at the NBA level would be a successful use of the 45th pick, but time will tell whether Emanuel Sharp can do so.
The upcoming Summer League tournaments should provide the first opportunity to see Acuff, Karaban, and now Sharp put on a Kings uniform.

The Sacramento Kings will now set their sights on the California Classic, with action set to run from July 4th through July 6th at Golden 1 Center.
New Kings point guard Darius Acuff Jr. (7th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft) will go head-to-head against Brooklyn Nets guard Mikel Brown Jr. (6th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft) at 2 pm PT on July 4th, right here in downtown Sacramento.

Like the player, not a fan of the size with all the other 6'3" guards we already have. I take it, either Carter or Monk are all but gone. Would like them to maybe make a move with the Nuggets, deal Devin for Daron Holmes. We still only have 4 forwards Keeg, Hunter, Precious & Karaban.
Or take a chance and roll the dice on Isaac.
I'd guess Hayes & Plowden likely aren't coming back, and maybe will have one last spot to give to Russ. Maybe sign PA with a two year, 12mil deal using the NTMLE, once we have it, and give the BAE to Russ. Fans are saying he should only get a vet min again but definitely outplayed that last year with what he did on the 3mil deal. I have no problem back paying a guy, if it's only a one year situation and only 2M extra we are talking about.
