The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors know how to put on a game.

After falling behind by 24 points on Tuesday night, the Sacramento Kings mounted an incredible comeback to deliver a 124-123 win over the Golden State Warriors in an instant classic at Golden 1 Center. With the win, the Kings clinched Group C of the NBA In-Season Tournament Group Play portion.

And, according to the NBA, that In-Season Tournament game, “was the most-watched Group Play game of the NBA In-Season Tournament, averaging 2M viewers and up 93% vs. last year’s comparable window.”

This isn’t the first time the Kings and Warriors hit ratings gold.

During last year’s playoff series, Game 7 brought in an average TV audience of 9.8 million, becoming the most-watched first-round game in 24 years. The two Northern California teams beat their own record set in Game 4 of that same series, which was the most-watched NBA Playoffs first-round game on any network in 21 years.

Sounds like these two teams know how to draw an audience.
