Report: Zach LaVine expected to make Kings debut Wednesday in G1C

According to Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee, Zach LaVine is expected to make his Sacramento Kings debut on Wednesday night when the Kings host the Orlando Magic.

Traded to the Kings in a three-team deal that sent franchise guard De’Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs, LaVine has had a stellar season with the Chicago Bulls.

In 42 games played with the Bulls this season, Zach LaVine is averaging 24 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists on 51.1 percent from the field.

Per league source, the Kings are expecting Zach LaVine to make his Sacramento debut Wednesday night when the team hosts the Orlando Magic.

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect for Sacramento, who ranks 34th in three-point percentage (34.5 percent) and attempts (36.1/g), is LaVine’s 38.7 percent career conversion rate from beyond the arc — and this year has been a career-best for him in that regard.

The 6’5 guard is knocking down 44.6 percent of his 7.2 three-point attempts per night. Dave, Jason, and Chuck dove into how that could benefit the Kings this season, as well as everything Zach LaVine provides to the new-look squad.

It will be interesting to see how he fits alongside other projected starters Malik Monk, DeMar DeRozan (who he played with in Chicago), Keegan Murray, and Domantas Sabonis.
