UC Davis basketball set for pair of Big West opening games
UC Davis basketball will begin Big West Conference play the weekend of Dec. 5-7 against Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.

The Big West Conference announced today, Aug. 15, that the first two conference games are set to be played over the weekend of Dec. 5-7, with UC Davis basketball slated to open against Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.
The Aggie men will open at home, hosting Cal Poly on Dec. 5 in the first Big West game of the season at the University Credit Union Center, while the women will mirror the men with a game at Cal Poly.
On Dec. 7 the Aggie men will again host, welcoming UC Santa Barbara to Davis. While the women will remain on the road with a trip to the Thunderdome to wrap up their Big West opening weekend.

The Big West will continue to operate with a mirrored schedule, with the men and the women playing the same schools, just with one on the road and one at home.
The conference will take a break and return to non-conference play throughout month of December before returning to conference play to finish out the final 18 games. The Big West will release the rest of the conference schedule on a later date.
