With about a week to go before the start of the new league year, the NFL Franchise Tag deadline has come and passed.
The March 5th deadline for 2024 gave us some surprises and certainties, with teams getting ready for the storm that’s coming next week. While not every franchise had a player up for designation, only a handful of teams used the tag to secure their cornerstones players for the moment. Other teams will be letting starters walk in 2024, especially at the running back position.
But before we get to who didn’t get tagged, here’s what teams did use a tag to lock down their players.

Baker Mayfield wasn't tagged. He can become a free agent next week. He's most likely staying put in Tampa, with the Vikings possibly getting involved only if Kirk Cousins leaves. https://t.co/H6dkBJQhQH
