When Maxx Crosby faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs, he became the first player since 2020 to play in a game after being listed as doubtful leading into game time.

Even though the team is coming off a Bye Week, Crosby did not practice Wednesday because of that same knee issue he’s been dealing with. And while it only recently came to light, interim coach Antonio Pierce said it’s something the defensive end has been dealing with for a while.

“It’s been like that for six, seven weeks now,” Pierce said. “Just something he’s dealing with, something we’re dealing with and we’ll take it day by day.”

Crosby, who’s yet to miss a game in his career, logged only one tackle against Kansas City in Week 12. On the year, he’s recorded 11.5 sacks and 15 tackles for a loss.
