The San Francisco 49ers enter Madden 27 with one of the most highly rated offenses in the game, earning a 90 overall offensive rating and landing fifth among all NFL teams in EA Sports’ rankings.

The 49ers trail only the Los Angeles Rams (93), Detroit Lions (91), and Buffalo Bills (91), while the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs also received 90 overall offensive ratings.

For San Francisco, that elite rating stems from an offense featuring star power at nearly every skill position.

Christian McCaffrey remains one of the highest-rated players in Madden 27, receiving a 96 overall rating. The veteran running back remains one of the game’s most dangerous weapons because of his ability to impact the game as both a runner and receiver.

Then there’s George Kittle, who is even higher on the overall ratings leaderboard. The 49ers tight end earned a 96 overall rating, making him one of the highest-rated players in the entire game and the highest-rated member of San Francisco’s offense.

The 49ers also added another elite weapon this offseason in veteran wide receiver Mike Evans. Evans received a 91 overall rating in Madden 27, giving San Francisco another player rated above 90 at a skill position.

At quarterback, Brock Purdy enters Madden 27 with an 86 overall rating, matching his rating from Madden 26. Purdy’s rating puts him 11th among quarterbacks in the game, but his combination of accuracy and the talent surrounding him makes San Francisco one of the more appealing offenses to use.

That combination is ultimately what makes the 49ers so dangerous in Madden 27. McCaffrey provides an elite backfield option, Kittle gives Purdy a dominant tight end, Evans adds a premier outside receiver, and Purdy has the ability to distribute the ball throughout Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

EA Sports’ rankings reflect the belief that San Francisco has one of the deepest and most talented offensive groups in the NFL. The 49ers’ 90 overall rating ranks them inside the top five, putting them alongside several of the league’s most explosive offenses heading into Madden 27.
