At the 11th hour on Easter Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens have made a big splash by signing Odell Beckham Jr.

Reports surfaced Sunday that the former All-Pro wideout would be signing with the Ravens on a one-year deal. The deal will reportedly be worth up to $18 million, with $15 million guaranteed, according to reports. A move that potentially pairs Odell with quarterback Lamar Jackson, giving the latter a legitimate weapon on the outside.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was first with the news. The team confirmed the agreement thereafter.

Beckham, 30, missed the entire 2022 NFL season, recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams. After working out for several NFL teams this spring, Odell has a chance to reclaim WR1 status in Baltimore. It’s even more interesting because the wideout was scheduled to meet with the New York Jets over the weekend. But after the Ravens upped their offer, OBJ didn’t think twice.

On the team side, Baltimore has had a tumultuous offseason to say the least. Stuck in contract negotiations with Jackson, the player has formally requested a trade away from the organization. But after the Odell Beckham signing, things might change, with the QB posting a screenshot of the two on a FaceTime call.

While it’s also speculation at this point, it’s safe to assume Jackson approves of the signing.
