Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Amik Robertson has been placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
In the second quarter of Sunday night’s matchup with the New York Jets, running back Breece Hall attempted to jump over Robertson, who was diving in for a tackle. In that process, Hall’s knee hit Robertson’s helmet.

Interim coach Antonio Pierce had a brief update about Robertson, saying he saw him smile in the hallway Wednesday morning.
“So I hope that’s a blessing for us,” Pierce said.
In 10 games this season, the 25-year-old cornerback has recorded two interceptions, one forced fumble, one sack, and 24 total tackles.

Pierce also provided an update on offensive tackle Kolton Miller, who missed Sunday’s game against the Jets with a shoulder injury. While he did not practice Wednesday, Pierce is hopeful Miller can play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
“Obviously, we’re a different team when he’s out on the field, he’s one of our best offensive linemen. And obviously he does not like missing games or practice. So, I know he’s itching at every bit, but again that’s kind of like Amik [Robertson], we’ll find out here briefly.”
