As the Las Vegas Raiders continue through training camp, the organization continues to add to its roster as they seem necessary.
On Wednesday, the team announced they’ve signed tight end Jacob Hollister. The terms of the contract were not released.
Hollister was signed by the New England Patriots after not being selected in the 2017 NFL Draft. In his six-year professional career, he’s appeared in 62 games and recorded 83 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. The move comes a day after the Raiders released veteran tight end O.J. Howard.
Hollister, who made his Raiders training camp debut Wednesday, joins rookie Michael Mayer and veteran Austin Hooper in the team’s tight end room.

Raiders work out former Pro Bowler
The Las Vegas Raiders may not be done adding to their roster.
According to Jordan Schultz of theScore.com, the team has worked out linebacker Jaylon Smith.
A former second-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2017 NFL Draft, Smith made the Pro Bowl two years later in 2019. That year, he recorded one interception, two force fumbles, and 142 combined tackles.
Over his six-year career, which included a stop in New York with the Giants last season, Smith forced six fumbles and one interception while recording 624 tackles.
