It appears that the Kansas City Chiefs will head into Super Bowl LVIII without Charles Omenihu.

According to Bleacher Report’s NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, the Chiefs pass rusher suffered a torn ACL in the team’s 17-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Before the injury, he was able to record a sack and forced fumble.

While the team hasn’t confirmed the news yet, Omenihu posted a heartbreak emoji on X.

In his first year with Kansas City, Charles Omenihu has helped turn the Chiefs into a dominant defense. In 11 games, he recorded two forced fumbles, seven sacks and 28 tackles. Before signing with KC last offseason, the 26-year-old defensive lineman spent a season and a half with the 49ers.

Omenihu entered the league in 2019 as a fifth-round draft pick by the Houston Texans. Through six seasons, he’s racked up eight passes defended, five forced fumbles, 18.5 sacks and 95 tackles.
