This just in: The HBO series, Hard Knocks, is heading to the Big Apple this summer.

Reports surfaced Wednesday morning that the NFL and NFL Films has chosen the New York Jets as their next subjects for the popular show. The “Gang Green” will report to training camp on July 19th, with the cameras in full force from Day 1.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news Wednesday.

New York has been busy following the 2022-23 season, acquiring 2x league MVP Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers and coach Robert Saleh will hope to be on the same page early, seeing the next couple years as championship or bust for the franchise.

And thanks to other complimentary stars, like wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the Jets have the firepower to achieve their goals in short order. Regardless, New York will first be tasked with winning the AFC East, a division they haven’t topped since 2002.

Hard Knocks has been the NFL’s long-serving docuseries during training camp since the 2001 season. The league picks one team each year, giving football fans a behind the scenes feel to training camp. Last year, the Detroit Lions were selected. The first year: The Baltimore Ravens.

NFL Films has als introduced an in-season version of Hard Knocks, beginning in 2021 with the Indianapolis Colts. This season’s pick is still to be determined.
