All games have a heightened sense of meaning at this point in the Major League Baseball season.

For teams fighting for their postseason lives like the San Francisco Giants, the final three weeks of the regular season hold no shortage of essential matchups.

In fact, you can argue that each game going forward–until the Giants clinch a postseason spot or are eliminated from contention–is more significant than the last as San Francisco (73-70) chips away at a 1.5-game deficit in the National League Wild Card standings.

After losing six straight games and seven of their past eight, the Giants picked up a much-needed three-game sweep against the visiting Colorado Rockies over the weekend at Oracle Park.

Now that San Francisco has rediscovered its winning ways, they will face a Cleveland Guardians team that six of their past eight contests.

Although Cleveland (68-76) is all but out of the postseason picture, this team still has players that can throw a wrench into the Giants’ recent win streak.

All-Star infielder Jose Ramirez is batting .385 over his past five games, while first baseman Josh Naylor is batting .333 over the past 13 games.

Here is this week’s pitching matchups between San Francisco and Cleveland as the Giants look to continue their push for October baseball:
