Basketball season is near.

The Stockton Kings released their 2023-24 regular season schedule last week as we move closer to the start of the NBA and G-League seasons.

Stockton will begin its season on Friday, November 10th when they face the Santa Cruz Warriors on the road before returning home to play their home opener on Sunday, November 19th against the South Bay Lakers.

The following is courtesy of the Stockton Kings Communications team:

For the third straight year, the 2023-24 NBA G League calendar will be split into two parts: the 16-game Showcase Cup followed by a 34-game regular season. During the Showcase Cup, teams are separated into four regional pods and play in NBA G League markets.

The teams with the best winning percentage in each regional pod, along with the next four teams across the league with the best win percentages, will advance to compete in a single-elimination contest during the NBA G League Winter Showcase from December 19-22.

Teams that do not qualify for the Showcase Cup will still play two games at the Winter Showcase.

To start Showcase Cup play, Stockton will visit the Santa Cruz Warriors on November 10, before continuing the road trip versus the Salt Lake City Stars for matchups on November 14 and 16.

The first segment of the schedule also includes home games against the South Bay Lakers (November 19 and 21), Ontario Clippers (November 24 and 25), and a back-to-back series against G League Ignite (December 1 and 2).

On December 5, Stockton will travel to Las Vegas for another matchup against G League Ignite before wrapping up a two-game skid against the Portland Trail Blazers’ G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. Stockton will then take on the Salt Lake City Stars (December 12) at Stockton Arena and will close out the Showcase Cup play against the Santa Cruz Warriors on the road.

Following the Showcase Cup and Winter Showcase, all NBA G League records will reset at the start of the 34-game regular season. The Kings will host 17 games at Stockton Arena and play 17 games on the road.  Stockton will tip-off the regular season on December 28 at 7 p.m. against Rip City at Stockton Arena.

At the conclusion of the regular season play, the top six teams in each conference will continue to the NBA G League Playoffs presented by Google Pixel, which conclude with the NBA G League Finals presented by YouTube TV in April 2024.

Stockton’s longest homestand of the season will run between February 28 and March 10, hosting the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Mexico City twice, and the Salt Lake City Stars and Iowa Wolves once.

The longest road stretch comes over the course of five days, including trips to the Windy City Bulls (January 5 and 6), Wisconsin Herd (January 8), and Ontario Clippers (January 10). The 2023-24 regular season will feature six back-to-back games for the Kings. The season will conclude with a 7 p.m. tipoff on the road against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on March 30.

Tickets for games at Stockton Arena will go on sale on Tuesday, September 26. Fans interested in ticket plans, group ticket packages, or becoming a Season Ticket Member are encouraged to visit StocktonKings.com
