The Las Vegas Raiders have added another veteran tight end to their squad. The team announced they have signed Austin Hooper.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ESPN reports the deal is for one year.
Hooper is the second tight end the team has added in free agency after trading former Pro Bowler Darren Waller to the New York Giants. Earlier in the free agency period, the Raiders announced they’ve signed veteran tight end O.J. Howard.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Austin Hooper was selected in the third round by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL Draft. After four years in Atlanta, he played two seasons with the Cleveland Browns before signing a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans last season.
His Pro Bowl years came in 2018 and 2019 when he caught 146 receptions for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns. Last year in Tennessee, Hooper saw career lows in games started and touchdowns (both at two).
