NBC Sports’ reporter Monte Poole joined Cattles and Ramie Wednesday to preview the upcoming playoff matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, Andrew Wiggins’s expectations, and more
In round one of the NBA playoffs, the three-seeded Kings host the sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Golden 1 Center.
Topics discussed include:
- Will Andrew Wiggins be in the starting lineup with a minutes restriction?
- Did the Warriors not put as much effort into the regular season or were the struggles legit?
- The Warriors’ bench last year had guys who had something to prove
- When the Warriors finished the last 10 games with an 8-2 record, they finished with a “sense of urgency.”
- Do the Kings have an advantage with their younger, fresher legs?
- How experience will help the Golden State Warriors win the series
- “I believe they’ll win the series because they’re experienced. Last year, I had some questions as they entered the postseason because they were basically a .500 team from January to April. But once the postseason started, I wouldn’t call it flipping a switch, it was more a matter of, you saw the guys level of focus go up, a level of concentration go up. There was a look about them in the postseason that said this is our territory.”
