When does Euro 2024 start?

Euro 2024 kick-offs Friday, June 14th, running into the month of July, until the final on the 14th next month. The first match takes place between host country Germany and Scotland at 12 p.m. PST Friday.

The rest of the competition begins Saturday, June 15th.

Euro 2024 is available on all FOX Sports Channel this summer, with coverage split between FOX, FS1 and FS2. Streaming options are also via those respective medias, or through FUBO.

Where is Euro 2024 taking place?

UEFA Euro 2024 takes place in Germany. This is the third time said century has been chosen to host, and there second since reunification in 1991. The first match will be held in Munich, Germany at the Munich Football Arena.

What countries are in Euro 2024?

The European competition begins with 24 nationals divided into six groups. Here are the groups:

Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland

Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

Group D: Poland, Netherlands, Austria, France

Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine

Group F: Turkey, Georgia, Portugal, Czech Republic

Each country will play three matches in group play, with a win equaling there points, a draw earning one point and a loss at zero points. The best two teams from each group will advance, along with four of the highest third-place finishers.

Knockout rounds commence from there, starting at the round of 16. Win or go home.

Who is the Favorite to win the Tournament?

Popular choices to hoist the European title include Spain, Italy, France and England. Both Italy and England played in the previous Euros finals, with the former winning at Wembley Stadium via penalty shootout. England has not won a major international tournament since 1966.

France is seen as an early favorite to make a run in 2024. They made the finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, bested by Argentina and Lionel Messi.

The French are led by forward Kylian Mbappe, the presumed heir to Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for best player in the world. Mbappe is joining childhood club Real Madrid later this summer.
