The San Francisco 49ers may have a first-round bye in the playoffs, but that doesn’t mean the awards aren’t still trickling in for the best team in the NFC.
The NFL Player’s Association released their second annual All-Pro team for the 2023 season. The list includes four 49ers: Running back Christian McCaffrey, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, linebacker Fred Warner and left tackle Trent Williams.
All four players have earned various awards for their play in 2023, including being named to the Pro Bowl next month.

Christian McCaffrey, 27, has been a pillar of consistency since being traded to the 49ers at the 2022 trade deadline. In 27 contests, CMC has amassed more than 3,200 total yards and 31 TDs for the Red & Gold. He has also been a staple of health, only missing one game since becoming a 49er.
Fred Warner has also been a pillar of consistency for SF, captaining one of the best defenses in the NFL. In 2023, the BYU product has 132 combined tackles, four interceptions, four forced fumbles, 11 pass breakups and 2.5 sacks. Warner has been an All-League talent since he came into the NFL in 2018, making his third Pro Bowl in his sixth NFL season.
Trent Williams may be the most important cog of the 49ers’ offense, however.
Williams has been a revelation for the 49ers’ run game since being traded from Washington in 2020. He hasn’t allowed a sack on quarterback Brock Purdy all year and has an 89.7 Pro Football Focus grade for 2023. He has been referred to as one of the best offensive linemen of the decade and could be in the conversation of best ever when it’s all said and done.
Kyle Juszczyk is the final 49er on the list, and the only FB to make it. “Juice” has been with the 49ers for seven seasons now, making the Pro Bowl each year. 2023 signaled a record for him, becoming the only FB with eight Pro Bowl nods in an NFL career.
While the 49ers would have hoped for more names on the player’s only list, four selections is an accomplishment nonetheless.
Upcoming schedule for the San Francisco 49ers
- Sunday, Jan. 7th vs. Los Angeles Rams – 1:25 PM PST
- January 13-14 – NFL Playoffs (Wild Card Round) – BYE
- January 20-21 – NFC Divisional Round
