We won’t know until tonight who the San Francisco 49ers play this coming weekend, but we at least know when they’re playing.
The NFL released the schedule and times for the Divisional round of the playoffs, with the Niners set to take on the winner of tonight’s matchup at 3:30 p.m. PST Sunday, Jan. 22, on FOX.
San Francisco will play either the Tamp Bay Buccaneers or the Dallas Cowboys. Those two teams face off Monday night on ESPN.
Elsewhere in the NFC, the number-one-seeded Philadelphia Eagles will meet their division rivals, the New York Giants, on Saturday. That game kicks off at 5:15 p.m. PST on FOX.
The 49ers moved on to the Divisional round after dominating the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 last Saturday. That win pushed the team’s winning streak to 11 games, with rookie quarterback Brock Purdy leading six of those wins as a starter.

During the 2022 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited Levis’s Stadium in Week 14. In Purdy’s first NFL start, San Francisco won handily, trouncing the Bucs 35-7. The last time the Niners and Cowboys met was in last year’s playoffs. During the 2021 Wild Card weekend, Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers upset the then-NFC East champs, 23-17.
If the 49ers move on past the Divisional round, Sunday’s game may be the last home tilt of the year, unless the Giants are able to upset the Eagles. Then the NFC Championship will go through Santa Clara.
Tickets for the Divisional round are already on sale.
