The San Francisco 49ers have had a season of accreditation showered upon them, with Friday’s All-Pro news being the cherry on top.
The Associated Press released their All-Pro lists for the 2023 NFL regular season, with seven 49ers earning the honors this time around. Five players have been named to the First Team, including running back Christian McCaffrey, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, tight end George Kittle, left tackle Trent Williams and linebacker Fred Warner.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and cornerback Charvarius Ward also made the All-Pro Second Team list.
San Francisco ranked second in overall selections, only behind the Dallas Cowboys. Only three players were unanimous first-teamers: Christian McCaffrey, Fred Warner and Miami Dolphins’ WR Tyreek Hill.

While the 49ers and their fans will feel happy for some players, others may feel that quarterback Brock Purdy was snubbed from All-Pro.
Purdy, 24, was named to his first Pro Bowl this year, helping the Red & Gold to a 12-5 record. He finished 2023 with 4,280 passing yards (franchise record), 33 total touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also finished tied for second in completion percentage (69.4%) and first in passer rating (113.0).
Unfortunately, only two spots are designated for All-Pro, with Baltimore Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson making the first team, and Dallas Cowboys’ gunslinger Dak Prescott making the second team. The former is expected to be the NFL MVP for the 2023 regular season.
As for the 49ers that made it, none are more deserving than Christian McCaffrey.
McCaffrey, 27, has been a pillar of consistency since being traded to the 49ers at the 2022 trade deadline. In 27 contests, CMC has amassed more than 3,200 total yards and 31 TDs for the Red & Gold. He has also been a staple of health, only missing one game since becoming a 49er.
On defense, Fred Warner is the driving force behind the 49ers’ stout defense.
In 2023, the BYU product had 132 combined tackles, four interceptions, four forced fumbles, 11 pass breakups and 2.5 sacks. Warner has been an All-Pro talent since he came into the NFL in 2018, making his third All-Pro team in his sixth NFL season.
Brandon Aiyuk also makes the list after getting snubbed for the Pro Bowl. He finished with a career-high 1,342 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns, on only 75 catches.
Best in the business!
