This is not a drill–it’s time to overreact.

Free agent slugger Aaron Judge is set to meet with the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, per MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand.

The news of Judge’s meeting comes shortly after MLB Network’s Jon Morosi shared a video of the 30-year-old in a hotel lobby stating that he was in the Bay Area to “visit some family and friends”.

Judge, who has played for the New York Yankees since the 2016 season, is currently a free agent after setting a new American League record with 62 home runs. The four-time All-Star hit .311 and drove in 131 runs while also leading all of Major League Baseball in runs (133), on-base percentage (.425), slugging percentage (.686), OPS (1.111), and total bases (391).

After turning down a seven-year, $213.5 million extension with the Yankees back on Opening Day, Judge turned in one of the most impressive seasons in the history of baseball. During Judge’s MVP ceremony last week, the 6’7 behemoth stated that he was looking forward to getting the free-agency process started.

“I’m really looking forward to getting this whole free agency process going,” Judge said on November 17th. “A lot of baseball players really don’t get this opportunity to choose where they want to go or have a choice. I know it’s still pretty early, and a lot of stuff doesn’t start kicking up until the Winter Meetings in December. But it’s going to be a fun process that my family and I will definitely enjoy.”

Shortly following the MVP ceremony, Yankees general manager shared that he had made another offer to Judge, adding that New York intends on keeping its slugger.

“It’s in real-time, so we’re on the clock,” Cashman said last week. “We’re certainly not going to mess around.”

The process for Judge appears well underway as the Linden native will meet with the Giants–his childhood favorite team–this week to kickstart the process.

With the Winter Meetings set to take place in San Diego from December 4-7th, Judge could very well have his new home picked out in the coming days.
