Now that the “unofficial” first half of the NBA season is in the books for the Sacramento Kings, it’s time to look ahead to this weekend’s All-Star weekend.

Five players from the Sacramento Kings are going to be in Salt Lake City, representing the Kings across all three days of All-Star festivities.

Here’s a breakdown of who is representing the Kings during All-Star weekend:

72nd NBA All-Star Game

For the first time since the 2003-04 season, the Sacramento Kings are sending two players to the NBA All-Star game. Center Domantas Sabonis was named a reserve at the beginning of February, leading fans to believe that he would be the only King. But, with so many injuries impacting players, NBA commission Adam Silber named De’Aaron Fox, among others, as an All-Star game replacement.

The 72nd All-Star game takes place at 5:30 p.m. PST Sunday, Feb. 19, in Salt Lake City.

Starry 3-Point Contest

One of the final events to list its participants, we learned this week that guard Kevin Huerter is participating in the three-point contest on Saturday night. He faces off against two former Kings in Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield, Tyler Herro, Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, Anfernee Simons and Lauri Markkanen.

You can watch Huerter compete in the Starry 3-Point Contest during All-Star weekend at 5 p.m. PST Saturday, Feb. 18.

Jordan Rising Stars

Keegan Murray, the fourth overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft, was almost a guarantee to make the Rising Stars roster. The mini-tournament is comprised of rookies, sophomores and NBA G League players.

The NBA Rising Stars game takes place at 6 p.m. PST Friday, Feb. 17.

NBA G League Next Up Game

Sacramento Kings center Neemias Queta is joining his G League brothers in Salt Lake City to highlight the best of the best of NBA affiliates.

The second-year big man is one of 24 players in a G League All-Star game. Queta, the 39th overall pick from the 2021 NBA Draft, is currently in his second season with the Kings while playing on a two-way contract between the big league club and G-League affiliate Stockton.

Miscellaneous

Last but not least, Sacramento Kings Emcee Scott Freshour is also heading to Salt Lake City. For the eighth time, Freshour was selected by the NBA to host events at NBA All-Star weekend.
