The Sacramento Kings are sending their big man to Salt Lake City for the NBA All-Star Game.

Domantas Sabonis has been selected to the Western Conference All-Star roster and will be heading to Utah for February 19th’s NBA All-Star Game at Vivint Arena.

Sabonis–alongside guard De’Aaron Fox–has acted as a driving force behind Sacramento’s strong start to the season, as the Kings currently sit atop the Pacific Division and 3rd place in the Western Conference standings.

Entering play on February 2nd, Sacramento holds a 29-21 record as they are closing in on last season’s win total (30) with just under half of the season to go.

Sabonis, who is now a three-time All-Star, has played like an MVP candidate during the season’s opening months as the big man is averaging 18.8 points, 12.3 rebounds (career-high), and 7.1 assists (career-high) per game this season while shooting 61 percent from the field (career-high).

The 26-year-old leads the NBA in double-doubles (39), total rebounds (592), and rebounds per game while coming in at fourth in Win Shares (4.4).

By making the All-Star team, the center also netted an extra $1.3 million per the terms of his contract.

Fox, who missed the cut for an All-Star reserve, could still make the team as an injury replacement.

The 25-year-old is in the midst of another strong season as the speedy guard holds averages of 24.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Fox’s forte has been coming through in the clutch, as he currently leads the NBA in clutch points and is tied for second in most games with 10+ points in the fourth quarter (16).

The 72nd NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 19, in Salt Lake City.

Sactown Sports 1140’s Frankie Cartoscelli & Chris Watkins will be heading to Utah for All-Star Weekend, meaning you can find all of your All-Star coverage right here on SactownSports.com or on any of our social pages.
