How many former New England Patriots have joined the Las Vegas Raiders?

Since Josh McDaniels took over coaching duties for the Las Vegas Raiders, he's brought with him a handful of former Patriots players and personnel.

Since Josh McDaniels took over head coaching duties for the Las Vegas Raiders, he’s brought with him a handful of former Patriots players and personnel.

In 2022, McDaniels and former Patriots executive Dave Ziegler were hired by the Raiders as their new coach and general manager. Since then, they’ve managed to bring aboard plenty of people who also have ties to New England.

On the roster side, former Patriots land on both the offense and defensive side of the ball. This offseason, the Raiders have signed Jimmy Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer, Jakobi Meyers, Phillip Dorsett and Adam Butler. Las Vegas already had former Patriots Brandon Bolden and Chandler Jones on the roster.

On the coaching side, both offensive and defensive coordinators, Mick Lombardi and Patrick Graham respectively, spent time with McDaniels in New England. Graham started his coaching career with the Patriots before moving on to the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. Lombardi, on the other hand, had two stints in New England, first as a scouting assistant then later returning to serve as an offensive assistant and assistant quarterbacks coach.

Along with the recently signed Danny Amendola, other coaches with previous ties to the New England Patriots include offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo, quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree, tight ends coach Jerry Schuplinski and senior defensive assistant Rob Ryan.
