Michael Confort0 did it again.

San Francisco’s prized offseason addition gave his team a massive boost during the seventh inning of Tuesday’s comeback win over the Minnesota Twins, drilling a two-run blast that erased a 3-0 deficit and gave the Giants a 4-3 win at Target Field.

One day removed from mashing a three-run blast that acted as the difference in Monday’s 4-1 win, Conforto came through in the clutch when his team needed him most on Tuesday.

The Giants entered the sixth inning starting at a 3-0 hole before San Francisco pieced together a rally behind a couple of bases-loaded walks from recent AAA call-ups Patrick Bailey and Bryce Johnson.

Conforto–the Giants’ hottest hitter–came to the plate with Thairo Estrada on second base with one out in the top of the seventh and sent a 1-1 knuckle-curve ball from Twins closer Jorge Lopez over the left-center field wall to give his team the lead.

Once San Francisco was able to hand the ball over to the dominant arm of Camilo Doval, the game was as good as over. Doval struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth to give the Giants the win–their third-straight, pulling their record to 24-24 on the season.

The Giants haven’t held a record of .500 or better since the opening week of the season when they were 3-3 on April 6th.

“It’s the kind of baseball that we want to play,” Conforto said following the win. “I think we’ve been doing a really good job of doing all the little things, executing the plans that we have, at least on the offensive side from what I’ve seen in the hitters’ meetings.”

Conforto remained locked in at the plate, improving to a .341 batting average with five homers and 12 RBIs in his last 11 games.

San Francisco’s top arm in Alex Cobb continued to shut down opposing hitters, striking out eight batters while allowing three runs over seven innings pitched to pick up his fourth win. Cobb’s 2.17 ERA ranks fourth in the MLB and second in the National League.

“Obviously, it’s been a good run to get here and speaks to the even nature of this team,” Giants skipper Gabe Kapler said of his team’s recent hot-streak. “We’re not going to get too high or too low. Playing good baseball, also not going to get too high about that because there’s going to be some ups and downs going forward.”
