The NFL and Fox have agreed to a five-year deal to broadcast Thursday Night Football, per Bleacher Report.
The NFL announced their move on Wednesday and it was noted that Fox will pay the league an average of $1.75 billion each year for Thursday night and the NFC packages from now until the 2022 season.
Both parties agreed that Fox will broadcast 11 games each season from Week 4 to Week 15.
Sports Business Journal‘s John Ourand originally reported Fox will pay $550M annually throughout the five-years to carry 11 games per season.
In 2017 Amazon paid the NFL $50M to stream Thursday Night Football after Twitter earned the digital rights for $40M in 2016.
Fox had competition with NBC and CBS but after NFL ratings went down 9.7 percent this past season, they weren’t as enthusiastic to place a bid.
Fox has yet to announce which broadcasters will call the TNF games.
