Now that the California Classic is over, the Sacramento Kings are setting their sights on Las Vegas for NBA Summer League.
Sacramento will tip things off on Thursday night when seventh-overall pick Darius Acuff Jr. faces fifth-overall pick Keaton Wagler and the Los Angeles Clippers at the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV (8 pm PT).
Acuff will look to follow up on an impressive start to his summer (23.5 points, 3.5 assists per game during the California Classic) on the national stage, as the Kings are slated to play all of their Summer League games on national TV.
While all eyes will be on Acuff during Sacramento’s time in Las Vegas, several other familiar faces will join the franchise guard on the Kings’ Summer League roster.

Last year’s 24th overall selection Nique Clifford will play in Las Vegas after averaging 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game during the California Classic.
Dylan Cardwell, the undrafted defensive big man who has become a fan favorite in Sacramento, is set to man the paint–but he may have company in the near future.
Reigning All-Rookie Second Team center Maxime Raynaud, who did not play in the California Classic while with France in the FIBA Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers, is expected to join the Kings in Las Vegas.
29th overall pick Alex Karaban, who suffered an ankle injury during practices leading up to the California Classic, is due to be re-evaluated ahead of Sacramento’s game on Thursday.
