The Sacramento Kings are the hottest team in the Western Conference, and now the NBA is taking notice.

Kings guard De’Aaron Fox has been named Western Conference Player of the Week as the Kings take a six-game winning streak into Monday night’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Since returning to action last Monday, the All-Star guard holds averages of 32.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.3 steals while shooting 52 percent from the field and an incredible 44 percent from three-point land (9.0 attempts per game).

Fox has been on an absolute tear since returning from a sprained ankle last Monday, and he’s been a force both in and outside the three-point circle.

The Kings’ offense has benefited from having its leader back on the floor, as Sacramento leads the NBA in points per game (128.8), field goal percentage (54%), and offensive rating (126..5) while ranking second in assists per game (32.0) and fifth in three-point field goal percentage (42%) since Fox has returned.

Fox has been named Western Conference Player of the Week three times prior to this week’s honor, most recently on November 21, 2022.

Nearly one year to the day, Fox has been named Player of the Week as Sacramento (8-4) climbs the Western Conference standings.
