The San Francisco 49ers got off to a rocky start against the Green Bay Packers Saturday, made worse by losing Deebo Samuel.
The 49ers’ star wide receiver suffered a shoulder injury in the first half of the NFC Divisional Round. Samuel got hurt on the opening drive for the 49ers, taking a tough tackle after catching a pass over the middle. The WR was seen on the ground for a short time, being looked at by the training staff.
He was then taken back to the medical tent, being evaluated for a concussion. Samuel returned to the game on the next series.
Later in the seocnd quarter, Samuel came off the field and ran to the locker room with a 49ers staffer. It was then revealed he had a shoulder injury, listed as questionable to return. He was not seen for the rest of the half, eventually going back to the locker room before halftime.
