Boxing promoter Nasser Niavaroni of Upper Cut Promotions will host Northern California’s first professional boxing card on Jan. 20 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento.

Included on the card are international boxers like Islam Abdusamadov from Dagestan, Russia, who has 50 amateur fights under his belt, but he will make only his second pro fight on this card.

Also on the card is local product Kevin Montano, a Sacramento State graduate who is 4-0 as a pro and is a K-12 substitute teacher when he’s not in the ring.

Six-time National Amateur Champion Steve Johnson will make his pro-boxing debut on Jan. 20.

“Upper Cut” Promotions Card “Upper Cut” is the longest-operating Combat Sports company in Northern California, having been involved with more than 40 professional events.
