Sacramento Kings assistant coach Doug Christie joins the Cattles and Ramie show Thursday to discuss the team’s resiliency, why Keegan Murray needs to be more “disrespectful,” if the team has exceeded his expectations and more.
“My thing is always win a championship, that’s just how I’m wired,” Christie said. “Even if you don’t have the capabilities, the possibilities or the players, that has to be your mindset because when we get on the plane, when we run our drills, when we do whatever we want to do, when that moment arrives, we need to do it as champions so that we understand how we are supposed to do it.”
Topics discussed include:
- How the team has both exceeded and met his expectations
- Why there’s no limit to what this Kings’ team can do
- The roster believing in themselves and having the support of coach Mike Brown
- If the lack of playoff experience amongst the players can be a detriment going into the postseason.
- Is Keegan Murray progressing naturally as a rookie?
- “I don’t think that he’s even begun to touch the things that are probably the potential of where he can go.”
- Which player on the Kings helps keeps players accountable on the floor?
- How can Davion Mitchell match his defensive intensity on the offensive side of the ball?
