The San Francisco Giants will look to continue their winning ways this weekend in Southern California as they will open up a three-game set against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night.
San Francisco (36-32) enters play on Friday having won four-straight games and seven of their past nine contests thanks to a red-hot offense that has batted .291 since June 6th.
Los Angeles (39-30) has struggled thus far in June, posting a 5-7 record while falling out of first place in the National League West standings.
The Giants currently sit just 4.5 games behind the first-place Arizona Diamondbacks and 2.5 games behind the Dodgers, who currently hold the top National League Wild Card spot.

Thanks to Mike Yastrzemski’s clutch two-run home run on Wednesday afternoon, San Francisco was able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat as the Giants erased a 5-3 deficit (with two outs and two strikes in the ninth) to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals in extra innings.
Yastrzemski’s heroics gave San Francisco its second series sweep of the month and helped the Giants improve its road record to 18-15, the third-best road record in the National League.
All eyes will now shift to Los Angeles where the road-warrior Giants will have to face a Dodgers team that holds the best home record (22-11) in all of baseball.
