When the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors face off Wednesday night, they won’t see Draymond Green.

Green suffered an ankle injury just before the Warriors training camp started. On Tuesday, the organization provided an update on their start forward, saying he has been cleared for light workouts and will be re-evaluated on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors open their season two days later against the new-look Phoenix Suns.

Green has already missed the first three preseason games for the Warriors. ESPN’s Kendra Andrews posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, that Steve Kerr is currently listing Draymond Green as questionable for the season opener Tuesday.

Last season, Green played his most games since the 2016-17 season, missing only nine games. As an unrestricted free agent this past summer, he chose to return to Golden State on a four-year, $100 million contract.
