The Sacramento Kings announced today that Harry Giles is out for the rest of the season.

The team’s website reports that rookie forward Giles is “entirely healthy, having experienced no setbacks during a focused regimen that has included participation in team practices, skill and strength training.”

He was working for four months to develop stronger physical strength in his knees.

First-round pick Giles will not hit the court any time soon, but will instead focus on a “more vigorous practice activity and individual workouts tailored to continue developing overall strength and aid ACL injury prevention.”
